What is Naturopathy?

We naturopaths treat the body as a whole, rather than the isolated symptoms. In doing so, we aim to look into the underlying causes of health issues, creating a personalized treatment plan to help clients feel their best.

Naturopathy is a way of support that does not go against any other health methods and paradigms, but it's rather an ally, it looks at the person at 360 degrees to understand how they function and to favor their physiology.

The focus is on a holistic and preventive health model.

If you are currently experiencing any difficulties or conditions, we will be able, through follow-up consults and the approval from your physician, to improve your current condition, as well as your well-being now - and for years to come. If you are healthy, this path will be useful for you to prevent future problems.

This way of seeing one's body and knowing how to make the most appropriate decisions for oneself in specific moments of one's life puts us in a position of profound contact with the functioning of one's health.

How can Naturopathy benefit you?

By adopting a lifestyle aligned with what you believe, you will be able to drain excess liquids and waste, increasing your capacity for detox;

By learning to eat preventively, you will be able to improve your digestive and assimilation capacity, also promoting intestinal regularity;

By regulating your sleep-wake rhythm, you will be able to improve your reactions in the face of adversity and reduce unnecessary stress and anxiety as a response;

In short.. being more attentive, aware of one's lifestyle helps us to better read the messages that the body sends us and to live longer, preventing the emergence of common problems that derive from an incoherent lifestyle.

Herbal medicine is used by both evidence-based and traditional knowledge, with the purpose of helping restore the body's natural balance.

Medicinal plants can be used in various forms, such as mother tinctures, glycerinated maerates, herbal teas, powdered herbs or dry extracts.

Iridology helps to understand the person's constitution through a method of analysis that recognizes his predispositions and the potential imbalances the person may have, but also their strengths.

The observation of the iris allows me to guide whoever is in front of me towards a better lifestyle for him or her based on who he or she is.

Foot reflexology is useful to me both as an evaluation tool and for rebalancing the body.

Its action affects the whole person: it acts on the physical, emotional and energetic levels.

Reflexology provides information about a person's current state of health and stimulates their innate healing power.

Naturopathic principles encourage health education which means that clients are provided with the knowledge to assist them throughout their health journey, not just during consultations.

When we talk about HEALTH

The WHOs definition is: health is a state of physical, mental and social well-being that goes beyond the absence of symptoms.

If being healthy goes beyond a lack of symptoms, even with no apparent physical ailments a person may still be unwell. So conquering a healthy balance where even our mood and relationships with those around us are in harmony is the real purpose of saying health.

Despite this, health is a constant flow, it fluctuates, rises, falls, and, as we observe ourselves, we learn to flow with these cycles, to understand how external influences affect us - from what we eat, to where we are geographically, to the people we are around.

This equilibrium is not fixed and stable… but no alive being is stable.

WHAT ABOUT HOLISM? This word comes from the Greek 'olos', which means everything. In the holistic vision man is not considered only a physical body but as a complex and perfect set of plans: body, mind, soul, spirit. The state of health considered 'ideal' exists when the all levels are in balance with each other and with the environment.

If we say CAUSALISM

In naturopathy you don't work only at the level of symptoms; the cause that led to the manifestation of the disturbances is always sought. The real root cause of the imbalance can be physical, emotional, environmental, social, etc. We do some detective work to get to it.

VITALISM, pursuit and maintenance of Vitality

Depending on our lifestyle we can have more or less life force. In Naturopathy the restoration or maintenance of vital energy leads to the achievement of balance - and wellbeing. Vital energy is called many things, depending on the philosophy/line of thought; some of the best known are Qi or Prana in the East, second Etheric Body in Anthroposophy.

If I say we work on your TERRAIN

Anyone who has ever grown something, even a small flower, knows that a favorable and suitable soil for its plants is essential to grow its crops. The more one works to improve the quality of the earth, the better they grow. Simple to understand, this a concept according to which we can think of ourselves.

From the moment we are born, we all have a constitution, a basic terrain which, together with external influences such as the environment and nutrition (basically: lifestyle), makes us unique and unrepeatable. It is important to learn to take care of our ground, our soil, so as to keep one's vital energy high and to be able to make whatever one decides to grow flourish.

NATURAL, healthy and preventive DIET

Healthy eating is the foundation of any naturopathic journey. We eat several times a day, we introduce into our body foods which, if consciously chosen, fill us up as nourishment and as a pleasure of taste, but it can also act as primary and quality prevention.

Choosing to eat well every day is our first medicine.

The idea of CYCLICITY at 360 degrees, following natural rhythms.

There are seasons, we have a sleep-wake rhythm, women have a menstrual cycle, everyone performs respiratory cycles all the time…

Our body knows how to work perfectly, if we allow it the right conditions to do so.
